How to Calculate Pulse Pressure?
A pulse pressure is the difference between your systolic and diastolic pressures. That is to say, the difference between the top number and the bottom number of your blood pressure
The systolic number reflects the pressure on the heart as it is contracting. The diastolic number reflects the pressure on the heart while at rest.
Eg: BP is 120/80 mmHg
PULSE PRESSURE IS 120-80=40 (difference between your systolic and diastolic pressures)
